BUTYL DIGLYCOL ETHER is a slow-evaporating, hydrophilic glycol ether with excellent coalescing and coupling power. BUTYL DIGLYCOL ETHER can be considered a slower-evaporating analog of Butyl CELLOSOLVE glycol ether. It can be used in combination with Butyl CELLOSOLVE™ glycol ether to lower the evaporation rate and increase the hydrophobicity of the solvent package. Methyl methacrylate (MMA) is an organic compound with the formula CH₂=C(CH₃)COOCH₃. This colourless liquid, the methyl ester of methacrylic acid (MAA) is a monomer produced on a large scale for the production of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA).The principal application, consuming approximately 75% of the MMA, is the manufacture of polymethyl methacrylate acrylic plastics (PMMA). Methyl methacrylate is also used for the production of the co-polymer methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene (MBS), used as a modifier for PVC. Another application is as cement used in total hip replacements as well as total knee replacements. Used as the "grout" by orthopedic surgeons to make the bone inserts fix into bone, it greatly reduces post-operative pain from the insertions but has a finite lifespan. Typically the lifespan of methylmethacrylate as bone cement is 20 years before revision surgery is required. Cemented implants are usually only done in elderly populations that require more immediate short term replacements. In younger populations, cementless implants are used because their lifespan is considerably longer. Also used in fracture repair in small exotic animal species using internal fixation.

N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) is an organic compound consisting of a 5-membered lactam. It is a colorless liquid, although impure samples can appear yellow. It is miscible with water and with most common organic solvents. It also belongs to the class of dipolar aprotic solvents such as dimethylformamide and dimethyl sulfoxide. It is used in the petrochemical and plastics industries as a solvent, exploiting its nonvolatility and ability to dissolve diverse materials.
NMP is used to recover certain hydrocarbons generated in the processing of petrochemicals, such as the recovery of 1,3-butadiene and acetylene. It is used to absorb hydrogen sulfide from sour gas and hydrodesulfurization facilities. Due to its good solvency properties NMP is used to dissolve a wide range of polymers. It is also used as a solvent for surface treatment of textiles, resins, and metal coated plastics or as a paint stripper. It is utilized as a solvent in the commercial preparation of polyphenylene sulfide. In the pharmaceutical industry, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone is used in the formulation for drugs by both oral and transdermal delivery routes.^[2] It is also used heavily in lithium ion battery fabrication, as a solvent for electrode preparation, though there is much effort to replace it with solvents of less environmental concern, like water.

DABCO or 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane is a chemical compound and a registered trademark for Air Products'' catalyst product line including 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane. It is a polyurethane catalyst, Baylis-Hillman reaction catalyst, complexing ligand, and Lewis base.[2] It is used to regulate the reaction rate in Flexplay time-limited DVDs by adjusting pH. Antioxidants, like DABCO, are used to improve the lifetime of dyes. This makes DABCO useful in dye lasers and in mounting samples for fluorescence microscopy (when used with glycerol and PBS).[3] DABCO can also be used to demethylate quaternary ammonium salts by heating in dimethylformamide (DMF).[4]Although the first pKa is 8.8 that is almost the same as ordinary alkylamines, the nucleophilicity is high because the alkyl groups does not disturb the lone pairs.DABCO has been used as a catalyst for a metal-free Sonogashira coupling, with or without microwave enhancement.[5] For example, phenylacetylene couples with electron-deficient iodoarenes to furnish the Sonogashira product in 77% yield with 95% selectivity.
